GAD LERNER AT MOLTE FEDI 2018

Monday, September 17, 2018 – Gad Lerner, inaugurates the cycle of meetings titled “Economics” in the framework of the festival MOLTE FEDI 2018 with a speech about “in the framework of the festival MOLTE FEDI 2018, with a speech about “An unequal world. A look inside the contradictions”, in the suggestive Sant’Agostino Lecture Hall of the University of Bergamo.

The initiative is promoted by ACLI Bergamo, with the support of the Pesenti Foundation.

If we pursue continuous economic growth, we must be aware that this will lead to to increased social inequality, highlighting the gender pay gap and tripling the child-poverty rate. A journey in words and images through the contradictions of our globalized world.

Gad Lerner is one of the most well-renowned Italian journalists. In his work he has always strived to identify the problems lying behind the fundamental issues of national and international politics. He anchored many news-based programs, including the recent “Operai” (Workers), an inquiry into the contemporary labor market, and “La difesa della razza” (The defense of the race) addressing the issue of prejudice, old and new, which when directed at foreigners reasserts the difference between “Us” and “Them”.
