Three beautiful things I will never forget: feeling totally comfortable in another country; having found a second wonderful family; feeling utterly exhausted but deeply satisfied with every single thing I’m experiencing here.
Relationships with the host family:
After about 7 months relationships with my host family have strengthened. With every passing day I feel more and more at ease and I could not be happier to be given this great and special opportunity.
Relations with the host community and friends:
One thing I will always be grateful for is the opportunity to meet other exchange students like me. I have developed a number of friendships that enrich me, friends from all over the world that I will keep with me for life.
Inclusion and academic achievement with respect to performance and interactions with teachers and peers:
School has been getting increasingly better. I have been making a lot of new friends. My English has been improving. I’m trying to make the most of my exchange student experience with clubs and activities after school hours.
Extracurricular activities:
With the beginning of the spring sports season, I started athletics 5 days a week; I helped to draw a graffiti, I went to Portland with my host family, I attended writers’ readings once a month.
Three beautiful things I will never forget:
Feeling totally comfortable in another country; having found a second wonderful family; feeling utterly exhausted but deeply satisfied with every single thing I’m experiencing here.
Three nasty things I will never forget: The thing I will never forget are my homesick moments: at the beginning, I had some difficult moments since I could not accept the idea that, like me, also my relatives and friends in Italy were going on with their lives without me.
