I was lucky enough to meet other exchange students at school. we understand each other since we share so many of the same experiences, problems, and joys. I have made friends from Europe, Asia, Africa and America, literally from all over the world.

Relationships with the host family:
I find it interesting how my relationships with my host family has evolved and become increasingly intimate. I really feel part of their world. The way they care for and take care of me makes me feel loved and secure.

Relations with the host community and friends:
I was lucky enough to meet other exchange students at school. we understand each other since we share so many of the same experiences, problems, and joys. I have made friends from Europe, Asia, Africa and America, literally from all over the world.

Inclusion and academic achievement with respect to performance and interactions with teachers and peers:
Teachers–students relationships in America are completely different from those in Italy: teachers are more friendly and intimate, they like to ask me about my beloved home country, they let me try their homemade cookies and are always available to help me.

Extracurricular activities:
On the advice of my host mother, 2 months ago I started zumba and yoga classes and, after realizing that zumba is not my thing, I am very happy to say that yoga is my new passion.

Three beautiful things I will never forget:
I will never forget the feeling of enjoying a family, a house, a city, and a nation that are not where you grew up, while being proud of your home country at the same time.

Three nasty things I will never forget:
Surely, I will remember all the difficult times I have gone through during these past several months. At times you feel wrong and disoriented and you cannot understand other people’s behavior since they are inevitably different from ours.

Other:
I would like to thank you infinitely for the opportunity you gave me, because in just 5 months I have not only discovered some new things about myself, but also started to look inside of me as never before. Thank you.
