Bocconi and Pesenti Foundation to offer scholarships for worthy international students to study in Milan

The International Merit Awards will involve 30 students from Africa, Asia and the Middle East studying an MSc at Bocconi

 
 

Transnationalization and the support of talented students are the two shared goals that Bocconi University and Foundation Cav. Lav. Carlo Pesenti have agreed.

 
 
 
 


 
 

Bocconi and Pesenti Foundation have allocated €1.2 million (€600,000 each) for scholarships going to talented and deserving international graduate students who are enrolled in a Bocconi Master of Science, for the academic years 2007-2008, 2008-2009, and 2009-2010.
 
The project dubbed “International Merit Awards” and the collaboration with the Foundation are part of a fundraising campaign launched by University to support its 2005-2015 strategic plan.

 
 


 
 

The overall objective is raise €100 million to finance Bocconi’s plans to internationalize its faculty and student body and expand its English-language academic offer (there are currently 23 Bocconi undergraduate and graduate programs that are taught in English).  
Thirty international students (ten for each cohort of MSc students) will be the direct beneficiaries of the Foundation scholarships.

 
 


 
 

Scholarship recipients will be offered: Tuition waiver, valued at approximately € 10,000.00 per year; free accommodation in Bocconi Campus residencies; € 4,000.00 net to cover additional expenses.
 
Students hailing from emergent countries of Africa, Asia and Middle-east are especially welcome to apply. Scholarships offered by the Foundation and Bocconi provide a valuable structure of financial support to ensure that brilliant international students of all backgrounds can enjoy the benefits of a superior academic experience.

 
 


 
 

By this initiative the Foundation shows its sensitivity to transnationalization, its commitment and cooperation with the world of university, combining principles of sustainable economic and social development of enterprises consistently with social and cultural growth of the communities involved.
