Cav. Lav. Carlo Pesenti

Carlo Pesenti (1907-1984) was one of the leading industrial and financial Italian players in the post-war period.

Son of Augusto, one of the six brothers who established the company “Fratelli Pesenti fu Antonio”, he was the third generation in the entrepreneurial history of the Pesenti family.

Graduated with an engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano, he was presented by the Italian President with the country’s highest honor – “Knight of the Order of Labor Merit” (Cavaliere del Lavoro), in 1962.

Carlo Pesenti was appointed to the Board of Directors of Italcementi in 1940.  In 1942, he was appointed General Manager and Managing Director of Italcementi and in 1967 he also became the company’s Chairman.

In 1946 he reorganized the Group concentrating in Italcementi the construction materials activities and in Italmobiliare the financial participations.
