Giampiero Pesenti
Born in Milan, on 5th May 1931.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Polytechnic School of Milan, Honorary degree in Engineering Management – University of Bergamo.
Honorary Chairman of Italmobiliare Spa. Honorary Chairman of the Pesenti Foundation.
In 1958 he started working for Italcementi where he was first Chief Operating Officer and then Chief Executive Officer and Chairman until the control of the company was transferred in 2016.
In 1984 he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Italmobiliare (Chairman 2014- 2016).
Apart from being – over the years – a member of several Boards of Directors of leading Italian and international companies, he was also Vice President of Confindustria from 1992 to 1996.
In 1977 he was appointed Grand Official of the Italian Republic and in 2009 he was awarded the insignia of Cavaliere di Gran Croce (Knight of the Grand Cross) of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
In 1989 he had the great honor to be appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro.
In 2004 the President of France honored him with the title of Chevalier (knight) of the Order of the Legion of Honor.
