The Pesenti Foundation for BergamoScienza

The Pesenti Foundation has for many years supported and encouraged the BergamoScienza Association, among the first in Italy to promote and organize events and activities for scientific dissemination, fostering dialogue between young people, the scientific and research community and the private sector.

This year again, the Pesenti Foundation will support BergamoScienza in the organization of the annual festival.

The BergamoScienza Festival is a science popularization project that since 2003 has involved the whole town with a number of events free of charge with the aim of taking science to the streets and make it enjoyable for young people, schools and all citizens, but also for businesses and major local and national organizations.

A number of events make the BergamoScienza Festival–scheduled annually in the first two weeks of October–the theater for great discoveries, meetings and emotions: conferences, round tables, exhibits, interactive labs, shows and much more, all open for free to the general public.

The fifteenth edition of BergamoScienza will take place from Sunday 1 to Sunday 15 October, 2017. The program will feature activities and events of scientific dissemination and education with top-level guests.

The BergamoScienza Association was founded in 2005, following the great success of the first two editions (2003 and 2004) of the eponymous scientific festival. In 2003, the promoters of the BergamoScienza Festival–long standing friends and members of the SINAPSI cultural association–decided to organize a cultural and scientific event for the general public. Two years later, together with the private and public institutions that had promoted the first two editions of the festival, the group founded the association, a non-profit organization created specifically to organize the event.
